Organic fennel weighing 500 grams.
When the season will allow, we grow this here on the farm - with all its wonderful fronds in tact. When we can't get UK we will look as close to home as we can.
All parts of the fennel are edible and from frond to seed will add a unique aniseedy-flavour to dishes. My favourite ways to eat it are raw, braised or roasted and liberally sprinkled fronds over any manner of salad.
Reasons to eat fennel:
- Full of potassium, a powerful vasodilator, fennel helps to keep blood pressure levels in check.
- Fennel is unusual amongst most vegetables in that it contains selenium. This mineral helps to keep your liver enzymes optimally functioning and helps detoxify some cancer-causing compounds in the body. It can also prevent inflammation and reduce tumour growth rates.
- Fennel has good levels of choline a nutrient that helps with sleep, muscle movement, learning, and memory.
- Raw fennel is an excellent source of vitamin C essential for collagen production. This is a double whammy anti-ageing force as it acts both as an antioxidant to help prevent damage caused by the sun, pollution, and smoke and in the formation of new collagen - keeping you looking young!

We deliver to a wide range of postcodes, and you can easily check availability using our postcode checker. If we’re not currently delivering to your area, you’re welcome to contact our office on 01937 531693 or email office@theorganicpantry.co.uk to see if we can extend our delivery route to you.
Once you place an order, we’ll email you to confirm your delivery day. While we generally stick to set delivery routes to keep things efficient and eco-friendly, occasional changes may happen, and we’ll always notify you in advance. Because of this route-based system, we’re unable to offer specific delivery days or exact time slots, but you can always get in touch with the office if you need a rough idea of when to expect your order.
All deliveries currently include a temporary £1.99 charge due to rising fuel and haulage costs, although we continue to review this weekly with the aim of returning to free delivery as soon as possible.
If you’re not going to be in when we arrive, don’t worry—our drivers are experienced in safely leaving boxes in secure locations. You can leave instructions when ordering, such as a doorstep, shed, or neighbour, and if no instructions are provided, the driver will choose the safest option available and post your invoice through the door.
Your payment information is processed securely. We do not store credit card details nor have access to your credit card information.
