Maistic food bags are made from 2nd generation bioplastics - material made from waste plant material from the food industry. After use, they can be composted in a well-functioning garden compost heap. The bags are transparent so you can see the contents. A great option where you need mang bags for freezing a fruit or veg glut and don’t have enough reusables like jars or stasher bags.

Suitable for cold storage, freezing and storage at room temperature in general. Do not use in microwave.
Maistic home compostable food bags are certified home compostable meaning they are tested biodegradable and can be composted with food scraps in a well nourished compost bin at home. How to home compost correctly, please find guidelines in books and online. The Maistic Food Bags don’t contain phthalates and Bisphenol A, F and S, nor other harmful chemicals or plasticisers used in traditional plastics.
The food bags comes in a paper box – no plastic packaging, of course. All Maistic bag boxes are marked with an ‘Often Good After‘ date, as home compostable bags have a natural shelf life of approx 1 year, simply because they are designed to break down. You can safely use the bags till they start to break when tearing bags from the roll.

We deliver to a wide range of postcodes, and you can easily check availability using our postcode checker. If we’re not currently delivering to your area, you’re welcome to contact our office on 01937 531693 or email office@theorganicpantry.co.uk to see if we can extend our delivery route to you.
Once you place an order, we’ll email you to confirm your delivery day. While we generally stick to set delivery routes to keep things efficient and eco-friendly, occasional changes may happen, and we’ll always notify you in advance. Because of this route-based system, we’re unable to offer specific delivery days or exact time slots, but you can always get in touch with the office if you need a rough idea of when to expect your order.
All deliveries currently include a temporary £1.99 charge due to rising fuel and haulage costs, although we continue to review this weekly with the aim of returning to free delivery as soon as possible.
If you’re not going to be in when we arrive, don’t worry—our drivers are experienced in safely leaving boxes in secure locations. You can leave instructions when ordering, such as a doorstep, shed, or neighbour, and if no instructions are provided, the driver will choose the safest option available and post your invoice through the door.
Your payment information is processed securely. We do not store credit card details nor have access to your credit card information.
